Cash Gifting Is Not a New Concept According to the Expert

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

Cash gifting is not a new concept, anyone who has ever given a family member seed money to start a business, a down payment for a new home, or money to purchase a new car has participated in cash gifting. According to the cash gifting expert, it is now possible for you to become part of a program that helps you receive money in much the same way. How would you like it if you came home from work one day and found an envelope full of cash in your mailbox? I think we all would, and that is what cash gifting can do for you.

Everyone is worried about getting scammed online these days. So much so, that when a legitimate cash making opportunity comes up we pass it up “just in case.” However, there really are real ways to make money online, like copywriting or even cash gifting. I know what you are thinking, cash gifting isn’t real. Well that isn’t true, and according to the cash gifting expert, Des Smith, anyone can make good money through cash gifting. The key is knowing how to do it, and by asking the experts you can find you how yourself. Just remember to keep an open mind and you could have a success on your hands.

North Korea Has a 9300 Mile Range Missile that can hit San Francisco Girlie Men

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

Perhaps you are aware that recently a member of the city council of the city of San Francisco in California stated that he did not believe that we needed the United States military. He cited the reason for his believe because he said what had they done anything for us in the last five years?

This is interesting indeed considering that North Korea now has a 9300-mile Range cruise missile available and they have nuclear warheads as well. In other words this is an ICBM missile with a nuclear warhead. Worse off North Korea is going to test fire this long-range missile to make sure it works and this has the United States of America as military low worried. But still the girlie men in San Francisco just don’t get it and they do not understand that we need a United States military to protect the American people because that’s what it says in the Constitution of the United States of America.

Can you imagine what the girlie men in San Francisco might say if North Korea launches a nuclear missile with a 9300 mile Range which Hits San Francisco? Do you think that the girlie men in San Francisco will then change their mind and consider that perhaps the United States of America does need a military after all?

It is amazing how all these liberals can survive with such a bizarre line of reasoning as that. Perhaps they should consider what the United States military has done in the last 200 years rather than in the last five years? Please consider this in 2006 you stupid girlie men.

Choosing Bird Cages

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

With so many bird species, as well as the various sizes and types of bird cages on the market today, choosing the correct one for your pet bird can be quite hard. If you consider all general factors of bird cages, you can easily choose one that is safe, comfortable, and very convenient regardless of the type of pet bird you have.

A very important factor when choosing bird cages is the size of the cage. You should make sure to get a cage that is the largest you can find of the type of bird you have. It is always best to not try to stick to the minimum size recommended, instead opting for a larger size to ensure that your bird has the most space possible.

Next to consider when choosing bird cages are the various shapes available. Cylindrical shaped bird cages should be avoided since they are often too small. In fact, many bird can feel quite insecure in that type of cage.

When it comes to small birds, length is definitely more important than height. Birds often fly within their cages for exercise and their flight pattern tends to be side to side rather than up and down. For birds such as large parrots, taller cages are ok because the extra height enables the bird to exercise by being able to climb, but they should also be wide enough for the bird to stretch and also play.

Bird cages often have different types of bar/wire spacing. This spacing should be adequate because it is a very important aspect of a bird cage. If the spacing is incorrect, it could cause the bird to get its wings, head, feet, or even beak caught. This could be fatal to your pet bird.

Parrots need a cage that have horizontal bars so the bird can climb on the cage’s side. But for those birds who do not use their beaks when climbing, such as finches, doves, and/or canaries, it doesn’t matter what the bar orientation is.

Of course, you definitely want to make sure you buy a quality cage for your pet bird. Those that are well-made using high quality materials can be quite expensive. But they are well worth the expense since they are not only safer, but last much longer than those that cost less.

You want to make sure to choose bird cages made from safer, non-toxic materials such as stainless steel and/or powder-coated wrought iron. These are definitely more durable and look much better than their cheaper counterparts.

Bar spacing isn’t the only aspect to consider when choosing safe bird cages. Your pet’s wings, head, beak, and/or feet can also get caught in other features of a cage. Any intricate designs or fancy scroll work should be avoided, as well as doors, latches, or any other parts of the cage that can potentially trap your pet bird.

Also, high levels of lead and zinc can be a problem and are usually found in older, painted cages. Avoid cages made with galvanized wire that contains zinc, as well as those with zinc components like hinges and latches. Any cage with a sharp edge is definitely a hazard.

Last, but not least, the cage you choose should be easy to maintain. Pull out trays will help to make cleaning the cage’s bottom very easy and wider doors help to make access for cleaning easier. Make sure you can also easily remove/replace the bird’s food and water dishes without having to open the main doors. Be aware that cages made of stainless steel and wrought iron are generally easier to maintain.

Shih Tzu - Reward Training Basics For Your Shih Tzu

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

Training with treats and other food based rewards is a great way to motivate your shih tzu and speed the training process along. Most shih tzu are highly motivated by food rewards, and treat training using this kind of positive reinforcement is used to train all sorts of animals, including tigers, lions, elephants and even house cats.

Before you begin a treat based training session, however, it is a good idea to test the shih tzu to make sure that food will motivate him through the session. Begin around the shih tzu’s regular meal time by taking a piece of its food and waving it in front of the shih tzu’s nose. If the shih tzu shows an enthusiasm for the food, now is a great time to start the training. If the shih tzu shows little interest, or none at all, it may be best to put off the training until another time. Don’t be afraid to delay the start of meal time in order to pique the shih tzu’s interest in training. The advantages of proper training will far outweigh any delay in feeding.

It is generally best to get the shih tzu used to regular feedings, instead of leaving food out all the time. Not only does free feeding encourage the shih tzu to overeat and increase the chances of obesity, but a free fed shih tzu may never be fully motivated in reward based training.

The come when called command
Once your shih tzu has shown interest in the food offered to it, it is time to begin the training. Since you already got your shih tzu’s undivided attention by showing it food, now is a great time to start. Give the shih tzu a few pieces of food right away, then back up a few steps. While holding the food in your hand, so “come here”. When the shih tzu comes to you, praise him effusively and give him a few pieces of food.

After the shih tzu is coming to you easily, add a sit command and hold the collar before you give the food. After the sit command is mastered, other commands, and even some tricks, can be added. Food based positive reinforcement training is the best way to teach a variety of important behaviors.

One good exercise is the sit, stay, come when called exercise. This exercise can begin with the owner walking the shih tzu, then stopping and asking the shih tzu to sit. After the shih tzu is sitting quietly, the owner backs away and asks the shih tzu to stay. Ideally the shih tzu should continue to stay until called by the owner, even if the leash is dropped. At the end of the exercise, the owner calls the shih tzu. When the shih tzu comes to the owner, it receives food and praise from the owner. This exercise should be repeated several times, until the dog is reliably coming when called.

It is important to keep the training sessions short, especially in the beginning, to keep the shih tzu from becoming bored, and from consuming its entire meal in the form of treats. After the shih tzu has been responding regularly, the treats and food rewards can be slowly reduced. It is important to still provide these food rewards, but it may no longer be necessary to provide as many. After awhile, as well, it will not be necessary to give the shih tzu treats every single time he responds as requested. In general, it should only be necessary for the shih tzu to receive a food treat one out of every five times he comes on demand. The other four successes can be rewarded with praise and scratches.

Once the shih tzu understand the basics of the “come here” exercise, the basic exercise can be expanded, and many games can be created. These type of games can be great fun for owner and shih tzu alike, as well as a great learning experience. Some off leash work can be introduced as well, but it is always best to start with the shih tzu in a safe environment, such as a fenced back yard. For variety, you can try taking the shih tzu to other safe environments, such as a friend’s house, a neighbor’s fenced yard or a local dog park. Try turning the shih tzu loose in these safe places, and practice the come when called exercise. Always praise the shih tzu extensively, scratch him behind the ears and tell him what a good shih tzu he is. The goal should be to make coming to the owner a more pleasant experience than whatever the shih tzu was doing before he was called.

Corporate ERP of the Next decade: Microsoft/Unix/Java - Coexistence & Harmony?

Sunday, August 17th, 2008

While in 1990th we saw very fierce fighting between Microsoft Windows and Apple Computer PowerMac for the workstations market, when two systems were practically not compatible and didn’t have plans to understand each other, plus all the blends of Unix/Linux were trying to step in and take workstation market over, the next decade in our opinion will be the decade of coexistence, integration, cross-platform heterogeneous data distribution and querying. Good example would be this - imagine you are freight forwarder and your company has Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains implemented as accounting and partly distribution application and on the other hand you have Oracle based cargo delivery / tracking system. You do not have to phase out one or the other - you make them coexist: if you need Great Plains user to lookup shipment status - you use heterogeneous query from MS SQL Server (Great Plains) to Oracle via linked server and have instant result set on the screen. Similar heterogeneous query you can have from Oracle side to MS SQL Server. Let’s look at the trends:

• XML - is platform independent way to communicate: transfer inbound/outbound streams of data. This is the sign of future coexistence and it is very simple in reading and understanding by human being

• IT Budget. Evolution versus Revolution: the old days of restructuring your company business operation around new computer system are probably over. Nowadays IT budget is pretty limited and corporate management considers IT as regular (not elite) internal services department. So - you, as IT manager or director has limited resources to revolutionize the company, so you follow the step-by-step evolution

• The sunset of proprietary languages. Good example is Great Plains Dexterity - this is the core of recent Microsoft Great Plains, former Great Plains Dynamics. Dexterity had the history of evolution, and now it is using SQL Stored procs to do the majority of database querying and updating, Microsoft plans to phase it slowly out and replace with the future .Net language of choice (not sure which one will win: C# or VB.Net - but this is not important at this moment). In the close future SQL with XML inbound/outbound will be the language of integrations

• The end of heavy custom programming. At least in the US - majority of the project will be outsourced. In the USA we will be mostly dealing with project management and specifications writing, plus physical hardware support. Even if you are dealing with, say Microsoft Business Solutions partner in San Francisco - partner itself will be using either overseas facility or simply contractors over there. When the majority of us will become project managers, thinking about business logic, not the way of realizing it in the code - we will stop heating the opposite platform -no more Microsoft VB.Net programmer hatred toward Java/EJB/J2EE programmer

We are already doing cross platform integrations from Microsoft Business Solutions products: Microsoft CRM, Great Plains to Oracle, DB2, Lotus and other databases, plus Microsoft CRM email messaging through Lotus Domino to begin realize the strategy

Home Remedies For Bee Stings

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

A bee sting is very painful. To give you a sting a bee loses its life. It leaves a venomous sac which has to be withdrawn immediately. These stings can be fatal if proper measures are not taken. It is known that due to bee stings many people have lost their lives. Swelling, itching and constant pain is what you suffer due to the sting. There are allergic reactions too which can take people’s life. These are some of the severe reaction symptoms you can identify.

-Difficulty in Breathing
-Dizziness
-Anxiety
-Speedy Heartbeat
-Nausea, Cramps and Vomiting
-Abdominal Cramps

When attacked, the first thing to do is to remove the venom sac that is left behind by the bee. Don’t try to pull out the sac but rather scrape it off by a blunt object. By removing this sac the chances of spreading reduces marginally.

About Betta Fish

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

The key to having a successful betta fish aquarium is that you need to learn how to control the atmosphere for the fish. First, you need to realize that betta fish or Siamese fighting fish come from Cambodia, Thailand, formerly known as Siam. The area is considered tropical for the fish. In fact, in nature you can usually find the betta fish hanging around in a rice paddy field.

You should never keep a betta fish in a small tank. Smaller tanks are harder to control. When it comes to betta fish, you need to keep in mind of the temperature, hardness, and ammonia levels. As for the temperature it should be somewhere between 75-85*F. The pH levels should stay between 6.8-7.4 and the hardness can go up to 20 dGH.

The water is extremely important to all types of fish, but betta fish can be sensitive. You should check on the water every day and the tank should be cleaned every couple of days. Betta fish are very sensitive to the ammonia levels also. You get ammonia build up especially from new tanks. If you clean your new tank with harsh cleaners, make sure that you rinse the tank out several times, because even a trace of the cleaner will harm your betta.

When it comes to the tank size, you should never go with anything less than three gallons. You will need a bigger tank for the more fish that you add. However, you should watch what kind of fish that you add to a betta tank. Betta fish are known as being semi-aggressive and should be put into a tank with the appropriate fish.

You should also know that a betta tank should never have more than one male. By adding more than one male, you are just asking for a fight. Males are very territorial, but sometimes even the females can become aggressive if bothered. If you have more than one male, make sure that the two are separated with a barrier. When mixing your fish, you should not have fin-nipping fish. They will go after the betta’s long-flowing fins. Also, you will need to make sure that certain community fish are not placed in the tank, because the tank may become disrupted.

Working at Home - How Do You See It?

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

“The trouble with most people is that they think
with their hopes or fears or wishes rather than with their
minds.”
Lady Nancy Astor

Fear of the unknown and doubting ones ability to achieve
success have stopped many good people from achieving their
goals.

If we could see the future, we all would be rich. Our lives
would be almost mistake free and we would have very few
problems.
But, alas, we can’t see what will happen down the road.
It’s this fear of the unknown that has held many people
back
in many areas of their lives, especially in the area of
starting their own business, particularly a work at home
business. I realize there are many scams out there but
there are also many legitimate ones that you can make
money with and the negative mindset has stopped many
people from even trying.

Many people see themselves as failing before they even
start. They see themselves as not having the time, money,
or know-how to make their own business work. They see
what they “think” should or will happen. They are also
influenced by others who tell them they can’t do it. The
basis of
what they see is a mindset - one that says,”Others can
succeed in this but I can’t.” So you see, people don’t
start their own work at home businesses not because they
don’t have the time, money, or know-how. They don’t start
because they have a negative mindset. They simply
believe that it won’t work for them. They feel they are
cursed to failure, cursed to live week to week, cursed
to always work for somebody else, cursed to working
40 or more hours a week, for 40 years, and hope they will
have enough money to survive, much less do anything
else.

“You can learn anything you need to learn to
acheive any goal you can set for yourself; there are no
limits.”
Brian Tracy

So, how do you change this mindset? Well, it isn’t easy.
All of our lives, we have been told that, “You can’t do
that” by friends and family. We have been programmed to
think negatively. Reprogram your mind by flushing out the
negative thoughts and replacing them with positive ones.
I am not talking about some magical or mystical formula
here. Although volumes of books have been written on the
subject, here a couple of simple tips. First, try to
surround yourself with positive people and avoid, as best
as you can, the negative folks. Begin to read books written
by motivational speakers such as Napoleon Hill, Jim Rohn,
Dale Carnegie, and others that deal with thinking the
right way and sit
in on seminars and teleconferences that deal with
changing the way you think. Their are even work at home
opportunities whose sole basis is showing people how to be
successful by changing the way they think.

It won’t happen overnight but eventually you start to see
yourself thinking in a different light. The “I can’t” will
become “I can.” You will stop doubting yourself. You will
begin to see that you can do it.You will
step out and do things you thought you would never do. In
closing, let me share a quote with you from Napoleon
Hill
.

“Whatever the mind of man can conceive and
believe, it can achieve.”

Think about it!

Thong Bikinis - An Argument Against Bare Beach Buttocks

Saturday, August 9th, 2008

Yes, I agree - there are many positive aspects of thong bikinis, but most of those positive aspects vanish immediately (faster than a string vanishes up a crack) if the “wrong” person is caught wearing a thong bikini.

So, let us start by stating the positive things about thong bikinis. The positive aspect for the wearer is that a thong bikini leaves your cheeks exposed to the sun so that you can get a more even tan. That is pretty much the only positive aspect about a thong bikini for the wearer. For the onlooker, the only positive aspect about a thong bikini is that it can look damn sexy and leaves little to the imagination.

That being said, let us move on to the negative aspects of thong bikinis - there are definitely many more negative aspects of thong bikinis than positive ones. First of all, let us discuss if the “wrong” person decides to wear a thong bikini. Let me apologize in advance for however insulting I may sound in this next paragraph - I am a grave proponent of people of all shapes and sizes wearing whatever clothing they want to feel sexy. That being said…

A thong bikini is not always sexy. Sometimes onlookers want to have more left to the imagination. If it is a wearer’s first time out in a thong bikini, there is first of all the problem of bright white cheeks. Nobody wants to see the fully tan body out on the beach paired with bright white cheeks no matter how firm they are. Secondly, there is always the possibility that the wearer has unattractive ass-ets, so to speak.

I am sorry, but some people should keep their cottage cheese cheeks inside a regular bathing suit or bikini. And nobody wants to see a buttocks that are hanging down to mid thigh. Oh, and I am not speaking solely of women’s behinds - I am also a proponent of men never wearing thong bikinis either! Nobody needs to see a man’s behind being squeezed out on either side of a mere piece of string.

And for the wearers of thong bikinis! How can they handle that thin piece of fabric hugging their most intimate area? Yes, you can get used to a thong bikini, but can you ever actually enjoy it? And if it is your first time out on the beach wearing a thong bikini, be sure to lather up those cheeks with sunblock - you certainly do not want to have to remain standing for the rest of the week simply because a sunburn makes it is too painful to sit!

Thong bikinis will remain on the beaches, I know; and congratulations are in order for anyone who is brave enough to wear one. That being said, unless you are in Brazil or on a private beach, do not wear a thong bikini!

Anne Clarke writes numerous articles for websites on gardening, parenting, fashion, and home decor. Her background includes teaching and gardening. For more of her articles on bikinis, please visit Brazilian Bikinis and Swimwear.
