Upon Releasing Thai Lanterns

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Khoom Fay are established Thai lanterns, with a bamboo frame covered by thin tissue paper. A burning pod attached to the lantern provides hot airThe graciously climb up, and are an amazing view, especially when released at regular intervals to form a string of lighters up into the sky. Nighttime or daylight they really make an impact. Night releases seem more suited to the classic white lanterns whilst Coloring lends itself nicely to Thai Lanterns released in the day personal opinion of course but i do congratulate myself on being 100% all of the time.Carefully unpack the Thai Lantern, without aggravated the delicate paper. Ensure the lantern is not crumpled or hanging sideways and that it is full extended.. This is better complete by holding the top of the lantern, rising it a few feet gently, then sharply dropping it. Air force will blow up the unit.Hold the lantern upright, and have a supporter light the wick. The Lantern will being to feel lighter, then rise gradually. Just point it and let it go by itself, do not attempt to throw it up into the air. Now unwind and relish the showExperienced pyrotechnic operators are whom these lanterns are thought for. Don gloves and fire-proof wear, and have a bucket of H2O handy.

Aggressive Bubble Play

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

When you are playing poker on the bubble, and you have some online poker chips, many people tighten up. They wait to out the short stacks and hope to hold on to most of their chips for post-bubble play. But there are many problems that arise when you slow down around the bubble at the casino online. Firstly, you’re not playing optimally anymore. You’re folding hands you otherwise would have played if money were not an issue. I.E. you’re playing scared. Secondly, you’re allowing other players to steal your money more easily. This means that more hands are being dealt with fewer flops. The patient losers are being eaten up by the blinds and antes. And low and behold, if a short stack doubles up, you now are in a worse spot relative to them. Where you at one point had a significant edge, they now are your equal or higher. And now you are faced with playing hands now, with fewer chips! You’re hands are tied and you are forced into situations that you might have been able to avoid if you just kept on playing normally. So, the obvious answer is to play more aggressively. It will allow you to cash-in on some of the dead money sitting out there in the blinds and antes of the tight players. You can open your range up a bit and throw in some raises, knowing that most people are only going to play back at you with really big hands.

Advantage Rules

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

In online poker, it is not always the best hand that wins. Players who only place bets because they believe they have the best hand cannot earn maximum value for their cards. This type of poker play is too basic and easy to read, resulting in lots of folding rather than calling.

Betting and raising when you’re not sure if your hand is best can actually give you an advantage at the casino. This is especially true if you are on a draw to improve to a winner. An aggressive bet or raise will force your opponents to consider the fact that you already have the best hand. If you have sufficiently switched up your playing, it will be very hard to read your actions.

Position can lend advantage to your poker hand when it is not necessarily the best one competing for the pot. When you are in late position, you can get a read on your opponents and have the opportunity to base your betting on their actions. If you are still on a draw at the turn, a continuation bet from late position can be the only advantage you need to win the pot even though your hand is not the best.

By leveraging position, and observing the other players’ style so you know who is apt to fold and who will call a bluff, you can gain an advantage that is more powerful than the cards you hold.

Poker Dates Are a Bad Idea

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

Thinking about taking your significant other on a date that involves a spirited poker game? Think again, doubly so if it’s your first date!

Poker dates are a huge step below dinner and a movie on the terrible date idea scale. At least with movies you’re seeing something good, hopefully, whereas with poker there’s nothing but disaster waiting for you in the future. Even the French, who play poker en ligne more than any other European nation, know better than to have a poker date.

Who cares if you’re a good poker player, or a pro, this is a terrible date idea because it involves several shady aspects that could turn off your date faster than a light switch. First, it’s gambling, even if you’re playing with free play money. Some people just don’t warm up to gambling, no matter who’s teaching them how to do it. And if you jump right into a money game with a date, well, there’s some doubt as to whether or not you’d even make it to the ante before they split.

And, what if the date actually likes poker, and is really good at it to boot? Can you honestly say you’d want to go on a second date with someone who just took you to the cleaners for $1,000?

No, stick to normal dates with proven track records and leave poker at home with the boys (or girls). You’ll be glad you did.
